Continuing Education Seminars

Free Seminars with CES credits.

Noble Company is an authorized Provider of Continuing Education for AIA and ASID. We conduct seminars for design and construction professionals. These seminars provide information about cost-effective solutions to problems created by today's fast paced, cost driven construction techniques.

The programs offer learning unit credits for AIA Continuing Education and Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW). To register for a seminar or obtain more information, contact your local Noble Company Representative or The Noble Company (800-878-5788 or

Noble's AIA CES Program Summary:

Why Did the Waterproofing Fail?  And How to Make Sure it Does Not Happen to You
Whether you are a tile contractor, remodeling a residential bathroom, or an architect specifying the waterproofing for a large commercial project, the failure of the waterproofing system in your project can lead to disaster.  Unfortunately, in spite of everyone's best intentions, these failures still occur.  In this presentation, we will explore the factors that contribute to waterproofing failures and identify the steps you can take to ensure your waterproofing installation succeeds.

Sustainable Tile Installations Using Membrane Technology
The course provides an overview of the types of membranes used to waterproof ceramic and stone tile installations and compares them in terms of performance, durability, ease of installation, control of variables, and function.

Recent Trends in Waterproofing Tile and Stone Installations
Participants will learn details and specifications that will help eliminate causes of failures in tile waterproofing applications.
Crack Isolation Membranes:  Underlayment for Tile and Stone
Participants will be able to identify inferior substrates and design systems to protect against failures of tile or stone flooring.
Waterproofing for Ceramic and Stone Tile Installations
Participants will understand the process and techniques necessary to insure a substrate that is appropriate for tile and a watertight installation.

Sound Rated Floors for Tile, Stone and Hardwood Floors
Discuss the different standards of sound rating for the flooring industry.  Important design criteria critical to achieving the rating that you are attempting to achieve.  Learn different methods of achieving those ratings.  Learn of the concerns that must be considered in preparing the proper specification for the project.

Preventing Failures in Ceramic and Stone Tile Installations
Learn the standards that affect the design of flooring systems.  Learn items to be concerned about when creating a specification for flooring underlayments that will protect the system from failing.  Learn the major causes of failures to ceramic tile and stone.  Learn proper methods of installations and procedures.
